Australian Singer/ Songwriter Vera Black has a unique heart-felt style of Folk/Soul/Rock..., as she puts it 'Modern Woodstock'.. that she blends into real music, touching on real issues. Her relocation to London see’s her taking up an Artist Development opportunity to work with former Island/DefJam UK President Marc Marot (U2, The Verve, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey) who is now CEO/Chairman of Crown Talent UK. The the New Zealand born, London based artist started writing songs 10 years ago in her hometown of Perth WA and has gone from strength to strength since then, some of her noteworthy accolades include, 'Grand Prize Winner' for 'Show Me The Music 2010' International songwriting competition, in Nashville for her song 'The Fool', 'Best Live Artist' at the 2007 Musicoz Awards, Best Video' for 'Addictions' at the 2007 Digi Festival Florence Italy, 'Best Swag' at the IMA's 2008 NY USA, and 'Best Cover Art' at the IMA's 2008 NY USA.
