Herbie keeping jazz alive! I loved that tickets were so affordable for students so more young people can be exposed to good music.

Herbie was at the top of his game, even at the spry young age of 83. The band sounded phenomenal! My only complaint is that they only played for about 90 minutes and that included some long monologues, and a couple of long musical noodlings from the bass player and the guitar player that were interesting but not really “songs.” That’s a minor quibble. The show was fantastic and I highly recommend everyone to see them if you can.

Awesome show. So glad I got to see Herbie. Highly recommended. The rest of the band is awesome too! I would go see any of them touring in another group.

Excellent show with an extremely talented and accomplished band of musicians. Truly a rarity to have all of these artists together on one stage!

Legendary performer and composer supplemented by other great musicians made for a memorable evening. I left in awe of this 83 year old’s stamina and effort. Terrence Blanchard was amazing, along with the rest of the band.

2 hours and 10 minute set at 83 years old. He was dancing and jumping around the stage at the end too. Wow.

Such a good show. They were so much fun. Herbie especially seemed to treat his audience as a group of individuals, not just a collective entity he needs to impress. Very genuine music, and they seemed like they had so much fun. Their drummer was beyond insane. I ascended several times during this show

It was great to be at the concert of Mr Herbie Hancock! Fantastic to experience his energy, creativenes and musicality and love for people and life, he enjoyed it also one could feel that and the audience was very enthusiastic!! Great music, he played with great musicians together as a family, how it should be! Absolute fabulous!!!

Incredible performance. He always brings the best out of himself and his band members. Also Gent Festival was great to experience - super organized, great sound and a festival for Jazz/music lovers

This was my first time ever seeing Herbie Hancock in person. His music was wonderful and beautiful. I would recommend this concert to all my friends. He was amazing.

Great concert at the Bowl. Many highlights besides the mastery of Mr. Hancock. Robert Glasper is the O.G.. Terace Martin extremely talented. Kamasi Washington no words, came out did a crazy burnout.

Herbie is 79 years old and 79 years awesome! Incredible energy on his solos, the most far-out voicings, and damn! What a band! Vinnie Colaiuta spectacular on drums, James Genus subtle and steady on bass with smooth and comprehensive forays all over the instrument, the beautiful and visionary guitar work of Lionel Loueke, and Terrace Martin’s percussive sax riffs and vocals. Who other than Herbie could even assemble these guys? Who other than Herbie could lead them? Hands down the best jazz concert I’ve seen in the 40 years since I’ve been attending jazz concerts!

Something so special as seeing Herbie with THAT band and his repertoire and musical vision resulted in one of the greatest shows I have ever seen.

It was absolutely beautiful every second of it. Herbie pushed every single to its absolute limit creativity always evolving he gets better and better every second always searching the depths of creativity. I'm an avid Herbie fan and he was doing things that night I've NEVER heard him do before and that blew my damn mind. I love this man and everything he stands for and is an inspiration for everything I pursue in music.

It was pure awesome. Herbie Hancock, is a master musician, it was a lifetime event. The encore was the best part of the whole show, the only thing that could have made it better, would have been, Herbie's rendition of Prince's "Thieves in the Temple "!!!

First of all, the Ikeda Theater is a "great-sounding" venue! Herbie's about 77 years old now, but hasn't lost a thing. The band was comprised of all-stars, and played like it...playing for over 2 hours! We could have listened for 2 hours more.

Herbie hancock and Chick Corea are both genius pianists. I just wish i had known it was going to be a duo versus two separate jazz bands jamming their tunes. It was a cool experience but I do hope to see HH in a jazz quartet format some day.
