MicFreak is a DJ Producer who is making some of the most exquisite dance music around today. A regular collaborator with the legendary DJ Spen, his music sits comfortably in the pantheon of straight up Funky and Soulful House. Based out of Baltimore and working tirelessly with Quantize Recordings, his songs are musical celebrations of everything that is good about the industry.
Responsible for one of the standout hits of 2020 alongside Crystal Waters and Spen himself, Party People was an anthem that stood as a shining beacon to a world experiencing troubling times. Collaborating with artists of the caliber of Mr. V, Barbara Tucker, Robin S, Jasper St Company, Eddie Amador, and Hifi Sean, he is determined to break new ground with every release he works on. His tracks are infused with live instruments and sophisticated productions which is rare in a world dominated by sample packs. Traveling far and wide to share his music, his journey started in the far-off archipelago of the Philippines before settling on America’s East coast.
With almost a decade in the game he has featured on labels such as Deeplife Records, Funktrap, Vamos Music, MK837, Nervous, Vagrant Soundz and of course Quantize and Unquantize. He has played at the iconic Ministry of Sound London, The House Of Yes NYC, Flash Club DC, U Street Music Hall, The Paradox and venues as far away as Asia, Bermuda, Toronto, New York and Las Vegas.
His live sets are fluid, dynamic and an example of a DJ who is able to bring so much joy to the dancefloor. No matter the challenges, no matter the circumstance, he stands as a DJ Producer in hot demand by his peers.
