Seth Philpott

Old soul. Maybe your first thoughts are of your grandparents, a story from the “good ol’ days” or sounds of the woodwork in an old house. Or maybe it’s the feel of a worn down quilt or tired shoes. And maybe you feel at home where the grit and ancestry of true stories meet. It is in those miles you find true heart and soul. It is there that you find the voice of Seth Philpott. When most kids were listening to boy bands and modern rock, Seth grew up listening to Willie Nelson and Otis Redding. In high school, his passion for music grew deeper and he immersed himself in Harry Connick Jr. (records like She and Star Turtle), Bonnie Raitt, Marc Cohn and Van Morrison. Their old country and New Orleans funk styles had a hold on Seth and impacted the way he wrote and performed. Seth has shared the stage with many amazing artists such as Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, John Dee Graham, Dave Barnes, and Andy Davis among others. Seth is known by his musical peers and friends alike as not only a singer/songwriter but also an individual who brings life and laughter everywhere.
