About Palacios Bros

The Palacios Brothers are a three brother musical group from Hebbronville, TX consisting of three very good, talented, and musically gifted brothers. The three brothers have been making music together since 2005. At the brothers’ core is a foundation of “old time” South Texas roots and traditions. They were raised from simple and humble beginnings, but their music exhibits anything but simple and humble! Their music explodes with rich and dynamic tunes revealing their great love and passion for making music. They have a drive that no doubt stems from their years in boxing where they pushed themselves to get to the top. Boxing, however, was soon replaced with a love of performing where they create an awesome and soulful experience for everyone to see and enjoy. Sounds of blues, conjunto, rock, country, tejano, funk, latin, jazz, ballads all topped off with love and soul can be heard and seen coming from these three magnificent musicians extraordinaire. Together these three young men have been entertaining and exciting crowds all around South Texas while spreading awesome music and positive messages. The Palacios Brothers consist of the oldest brother Delio Adrian Palacios (age 24), the middle brother Brian Esteban Palacios (age 18), and the youngest brother Marcel Nicolas Palacios (age16). For as long as anyone can remember, Delio the oldest brother, has had a love and interest in music like no other. At the age of nine, his parents bought him his first guitar where within days he was strumming chords, picking out melodies, and playing songs such as “La Bamba” and “Wipeout.” Being raised in a Mexican-American culture, he soon became influenced and interested in the traditional Spanish songs that his parents and grandparents would sing and listen to on Tejano radio. Then at the age of 10, Delio picked up one of his grandfathers old accordions and began playing tunes by ear. As the years went by, Brian and Marcel continued to grow up and started to show an interest in music. It was when Brian was twelve that he first started picking up the guitar and picking out tunes. He quickly learned the classics from rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, and ACDC and rapidly progressed into a young prodigy. Influenced by his older brother, Brian would begin expanding his musical knowledge into jazz, conjunto, country, and especially blues. All these styles would slowly shape and continue to make him the versatile guitar player that he is. Brian also plays the bass and Bajo-Sexto, a traditional Mexican-American twelve-string guitar that is used to accompany the accordion. At around the same time Brian began playing, Marcel, ten years old at the time, began banging to the beat on an old drum set that was lying around in his brother’s room. It was clear from the beginning that he was to be the drummer of the group. A natural at the drums he never had to be told what to do. Just like Brian, he began playing along with the greats of rock music and soon progressed to influences such as Jojo Mayer, Dave Weckl, and Buddy Rich to advance his skills and techniques. Bands also such as Mana, Los Lonely Boys, and Santana have influenced his drumming giving his playing that distinctive touch of Latin flavor. The Palacios Brothers have been performing and “awing” crowds all over South Texas. They are out and performing every weekend for the smallest of crowds to the largest… at bars, clubs, festivals, arenas, parties, and everywhere in between. They are always looking for the opportunity to share what they love with people. From the most southern tip of the U.S. in Brownsville, to the music capital of the world in Austin, these three brothers have been traveling, living, fighting, but most importantly making music together.
