Labyrinthus Noctis

Labyrinthus Noctis is a Goth/Doom/Space/Avantgard metal band based in Milan, ITALY, joining Goth, Doom, Dark, Folk, Prog and Electro-music, so creating a charming atmosphere caught in between dream and loathing, Eros and Thanatos, Passion and Disruption. The "Red Planet" started lightening in Milan in past 2003, thanks to the 3 founding members, still active in band: Moreno (guitars), AEB (drums), and Ark (keyboards, theremin, "machines"). In 2005 the band releases its first official album: Forever Fallen Darkness. After releasing D.U.N.N.O.S (2011), with M° Saturno Butto's masterpieces as artwork, the band is joined by Sin (Spector artist) at bass and with a weird, never heard before, special astral entity at vocals: Io.01, an alien character whose face sees a rush of images, stories and emotions. Also due to the employment of a sheer "alien puppet" the band proposes its uniqueness in the whole landscape of underground metal, not only considering Italian scene. By July 2014, Sin and Moreno are endorsed by Von York strings. In 2016 LN starts working to the new concept album. Of course sometimes should have changed. By the mixing of real and unreal, the metaphysical and physical the need for upgrading Io.01 was clear as a shared aim. Therefore, in April 2017, the band welcomes Ivy, the step-beyond of Io.01 transhumanation. ITA I labyrinthus Noctis sono una band Goth/Doom/Space/Avantgard metal di Milano, che unisce Goth, Doom, Dark, Folk, Prog ed Elettronica creando un'atmosfera tra l'onirico e il delirio, tra Eros e Thanatos, Passione e Distruzione. Il "pianeta rosso" ha iniziato a brillare a Milano nel 2003, plasmato dai 3 membri fondatori, tuttora attivi in band: Moreno (alle chitarre), AEB (alla batteria) e Ark (alle tastiere, theremin, macchine). Nel 2005 pubblicano Forever Fallen Darkness, primo album ufficiale. Dopo l'uscita del recente D.U.N.N.O.S (2011), il cui artwork è tratto dalle opere del M°Saturno Buttò, la band si completa con l'ingresso al basso di Sin (artista Spector) e con la conferma di un'entità astrale, unica nel suo genere, alle voci: Io.01. Figura aliena nel cui volto passano immagini di storie, emozioni e impressioni. Anche per l'utilizzo del manichino-alieno, la band si propone come del tutto innovativa nel panorama del metal underground, non solo italiano. Dal luglio 2014, Moreno e Sin sono endorser corde Von York. Nel 2016 la band riprende a lavorare per il nuovo concept album, ma serviva dare un’evoluzione a Io.01. Dall’incontro tra il metafisico di Io.01 e il fisico dei ragazzi, le opzioni sarebbero state due: deumanizzare la band o umanizzare Io.01. E’ così che nell’aprile 2017 la band dà il benvenuto a Ivy, nuova voce dell’entità che si è trasumanizzata. Gothic Doom (and more) from Mars. Space/Avant-garde Metal.
