About Eppard Brothers
The Eppard Brothers are Joey Eppard and Josh Eppard with an array of special guests. Their guests range from their father, Jimmy Eppard, to past band-mate Chris Bittner, past band-mate/current 3 electric guitarist Billy Riker, current 3 bassist Daniel Grimsland, producer Robert “Chicken” Burke, producer Dave “Wavis” Parker, Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd, Darkworld Studio owner Dave Daw. The Eppard Brothers (Joey Eppard and Josh Eppard) formed the band 3 with Chris Bittner in 1993 in Kingston, New York. They remained in that formation until 1999 when local friends in the Nyack, New York trio, Shabutie, found themselves without a drummer. Departing drummer, Nate Kelley, recommended Josh Eppard replace him. Shabutie took (back) in Travis Stever as well and after a few name changes ended up sticking with Coheed and Cambria. Josh Eppard remained a creative force in Coheed and Cambria until July 2006 when he was replaced by Chris Pennie of The Dillinger Escape Plan. He currently serves as MC and music maker for his solo project (which he describes as “Dungeon Hip-Hop”) Weerd Science. Josh Eppard is currently also doing studio session drumming and has formed a new rock band, Mours, with Wavis and Dave Daw. Joey Eppard has remained with 3 to this day. In addition to his work with 3, Joey Eppard has worked with many other musicians and bands, including Parliament-Funkadelic and Bad Brains. He serves as a guitarist and vocalist for the psychedelic/funk band DRUGS: The Mis-Americans and is also part of the improv-rock project MATH with Billy Riker. Joey and Josh Eppard
