One Two DIE Four

The story about One Two DIE Four started back in 2010. Long time friends and band-mates Jocke and Pelle (previously in the pop band Becky Sharp) searched for some new inspiration and new paths on the musical highway. Writing pop songs with attitude was a thought that kept coming back. So how do you get attitude into pop? You pick up the phone and get yourself a metal drummer and bass player in the room with you! Said and done Jens and Adolf (previously in the metal band Centicore) joined the party and sparks immediately flew all over the small rehearsal room. The ball was now starting to roll. The songs just kept coming and the debut album (First Blood) was recorded just 5 months after the band first got together! Inspiration!? If you were going to name one band Queen would be that band! The playfulness in their songs is a huge inspiration. If you listen carefully you’ll notice. During the rehearsals we thought that something was missing, a great keyboard player! During the recording of First Blood long time friend of Pelle and Jocke, Johannes, got the call about the vacant position as the keyboard player in OTDF. He said yes, lucky us! Cause he turned out to be the perfect man for the job. The line up was completed, for now at least… First Blood was released in Aug 2011 and the very successful release-/bachelor party (yes, we had a bachelor party for Jens the same night/following day) took place at the beautiful Villa Sandhem in hometown Katrineholm. During the autumn of ’11 and spring ’12 we played as many shows we could. A visit to the great festival Live at Heart in Örebro was one of many concerts. As the writing of new material begun spring ’12 Jens felt that the drums no longer appealed to him in the way they just to. And besides being a great drummer he’s also a fantastic guitar player. So we decided to start a search after a new drummer. The search didn’t last very long! Johannes classmate Rasmus turned out to be a great drummer and also, was interested in joining the band! Lucky us, again! During the summer of ’12 the EP Tramps was recorded and released. It featured the first performance of the new OTDF line up. Right now the new material is put on tape. The record, no name yet boys and girls, will be out there sometime during 2014! Stay tuned! New album ANOTHER out now!
