About SEITA

Inspired by the different faces of human struggle, the music with its brutal and unapologetic force, is the product and outcome of experiences, colored by the varying contexts, layers and intensity of a life on the move. Born in 2007 in the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Seita recorded their first six tracks as a band in the 2008 self-released MCD ‘Imprint Forever’. After a non-stop stream of underground shows, Seita next recorded and released their debut album entitled `Asymmetric Warfare’ (March 23, 2012), in co-operation with SAOL/cmm (DE). Mixing/Mastering was in the capable hands of Daniel Bergstrand and Rickard Sporrong (Dugout Productions), known for their work with bands like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Soilwork, In Flames and Decapitated. The band has since consistently played live shows and festivals such as Zwarte Cross Festival NL, Metal Bash Open Air Germany, Dongducheon Rock festival, Asia Metal Festival and Trendkill Extreme Feast in Seoul, Barge to Hell Metal Cruise USA and supporting European tours of acts such as Sepultura, Six Feet Under, Soulfly, Hatebreed, Suffocation, Pestilence, Decrepit Birth and others. SEITA is: Michel Gambini - Vocals/Guitar Pablo Minoli - Guitar Diego Gomez – Bass/B.Vocals Damian Lopez – Drums http://www.seitaofficial.com http://www.youtube.com/seitaofficial http://www.twitter.com/seitaband CD REVIEWS 'Asymmetric Warfare' (SAOL): “Just try and sit still whilst listening to this record and just try not to envisage them on a large outdoor stage. The thrash, a little death here and there and several spoonfuls of hardcore were made for this.” Aardschok (Netherlands) – Jordan Stael (78/100) “Overall, 'Asymmetric Warfare' takes the best of Thrash and Groove Metal and puts it altogether for some pretty enjoyable music that ranges from fast to mid pace...” Brutalism.com (Netherlands) – Devilmetal747 “... and it may be clear that the men showed that they belong between the quality metal-acts of the Netherlands. If you like passionate brutal death thrash, you’d better not avoid this album!” Livereviewer (Netherlands) – Ronald van de Baan (4/5) “Seita connects deathrash to core in a way that it sounds brutal and groovy at the same time. These grooves are not the typical American hardcorevibes, rather a mainstream Pissing Razors-feel.” Zware Metalen (Netherlands) – Bart Alfvoet (75/100) “..is the full, professional sound on this album, in which each instrument is granted the right weight.” Nu.nl – Wouter de Waal (Netherlands) (3,5/5) "The band has a very nice album to tour on. The music will do great during a live show, which is still their strongest aspect. Make sure to check them out!" Mario's Metal Mania (Netherlands) - Robin van Tilburg (75/100) “Seita comes with a sound that is driven by aggression and anger. The bands makes usage of elements from death metal, metalcore and thrash metal. The pace in the ten tracks is fairly high, heavily distorted riffs and thick guitar work play a major role and they are interspersed with a layer of groove (in the line of Skinlab).” Lords of Metal (Netherlands) – Patrick (72/100) “The music is founded for a big part on the tight but at the same time swinging/rhythmic drumming (forgive me this prejudice if I think this is part of being Brazilians) and not to forget the ubertight riffs that make you move constantly. On top of that the loud screaming singing is coming out very well; the vocals of Michel are so present that you almost forget how smart the structure of the music is. Wings of Death (Netherlands) – Chris “Seita doesn’t bring music for weak souls, but the brutal thrashmetal of the four-piece is tight and well-structured, that's why this debut receives the ‘approved’ stamp! Musicfrom.nl (Netherlands) - Jan Didden "It's a fact that the guys know what it takes to present a dish of furious hot thrash/death metal." Podiuminfo.nl (Netherlands) - Roy Verhaegh "If you like furious and brutal metal, give these Southamericans a chance!" Up Magazine (Netherlands) - Gijs Kamphuis (80/100) "Brutal thrash metal with a dark edge. A really great album!" Live XS magazine/webzine (Netherlands) - Pim Blankenstein "Seita prefers the into-your-face way and sounds therefore more like for example Slayer." Fret Magazine (Netherlands) - Daan de Mooy "Seita definitely will create fireworks at festivals!" Rock Tribune (Belgium) - Bart Van Gheluwe (75/100) "In the case of SEITA, there is no question that the massive dish is served steaming and tasty." Lior 'Steinmetal' Stein - Metaltemple.com (Greece, 8/10) English review) "They are extremely energetic!" Burrn Magazine (Japan, 74/100) Waiting for translation, but high notes from Vaskarc (Hungary: 9/10) Vaskarc online magazine (HU) - by Feher Balazs http://www.vaskarc.hu/articles.php?article_id=733 "As debut albums go, this is a corker. Fast, precise, heavy and aggressive." Iain - Cack Blabbath (UK) http://www.cackblabbath.com/2012/05/04/seita-asymetric-warfare "Murder riffs!" Fabio Rossi - Metallized.it (78/100, readers 84,75/100 (Italy) http://www.metallized.it/recensione.php?id=6940 "A great piece of work, that shows very well the Latin-American way of Heavy Metal!" Ben Ami Scopinho - Whiplash/Braziliaans e-zine (8/10, Brazil): http://whiplash.net/materias/cds/152083-seita.html "This album is a must-have!" Cenk Hansen - Extreminal.com (8,5/10, Turkey) http://www.extreminal.com/extreminal/review.asp?id=536#.T4_CQiPW92w.twitter (English review) “…there's no song on the album that doesn't take you! The mix of various influences and soundscapes is very complete.” Metalglory (Germany) – Horst Sergio (9/10) http://www.metalglory.de/reviews.php?nr=22276 "Asymmetric Warfare" is a hit in the face of extreme metal uniformity and already applies for a nomination at 'Album of the Year' in it's category!" Powermetal (Germany) – Bjorn Backes (9,5/10) http://powermetal.de/review/review-Seita/Asymmetric_Warfare,20053.html “The vocals of Michel Gambini are strong and make you think back at some moments of the big Chuck Schuldiner... Highly recommended!” The pit.de (Germany) – Tobias Dahs (8/10) http://www.the-pit.de/cd-review/article/seita-asymmetric-warfare “First-class brutal shit!” Metal-Inside (Germany) – fm http://www.metal-inside.de "Rhythmically seeing the fourpiece works very flexible and catchy, next to straight banging-parts there are always well-dosed breaks, that create a great dynamic." Rock Hard (Germany) - Patrick Schmidt (7,5/10) "Holy Granates!" Terrorverlag (Germany) - Moses http://www.terrorverlag.de/rezensionen/seita/asymmetric-warfare "For this 'Reborn On Fire', 'Oppressive Redemption' or 'Know Your Enemies' stand out because of their mercyless groove, oldschool-thrash style are the opening-duo 'The Awakening' and 'Godlike', uptempo in-your-face ball-destroyers, while staccato monster 'Baptism' will escalate any moshpit." Legacy (Germany) 9/15 "Take the classic 'Arise'- und 'Beneath the Remains'-period of the biggest Southamerican metalband as a reference, and you can say that Seita did almost all their technical homework." Christian Kruse (Germany) - Metal Hammer DE 4/7 “Seita offers with their debut the mix that the Death/Thrash genre needs. Everything sits and stands on the right place... Superb, full sound which runs over everything.. “ Metalunderground (Austria) – Robert (5/5) http://www.metalunderground.at/seita_-_asymmetric_warfare_cd_review.html "To all of you that like extreme metal and like to hang out in moshpits, I can recommend this ball of energy." Amsterdam-based Death/Thrash band driven by the contradictions, passions and hardships of their South American homeland.
