About Exit Ten

Exit Ten are a 'metalcore' quintet from Reading in the UK (famous mainly for its annual festival). The current lineup, cemented in late 2003, consist of:
Stuart Steele- Guitar (backing vocals)
Joe Ward- Guitar (backing vocals)
Ryan Redman- Lead Vocals
James Steele- Bass
Chris Steele- Drums

Whilst the band list among their primary musical influences as Tool, Mastodon, Dimmu Borgir and Testament, it has been suggested that the best description of their music would be a combination of Killswitch Engage, and Jeff Buckley (both of whom are also listed as influences on the band's MySpace site).

Influenced heavily also by Thom Yorke and Mike Patton, and mostly eschewing the gutteral roar of many hardcore/metal bands, Redman concentrates on tuneful vocal melodies and hooky choruses.

Their first release, an eponymous 4-track EP, was produced by Mark Williams (Fightstar, Yourcodenameis:Milo)and has been available since mid-2004. Although it has never officially been released through a label or distributor, it is available from the band's shows and from several internet sites.
