Swallow the Sun

I went to see Harakiri for the Sky but all 4 Bands were Epic! This was my first time seeing any of these artists live and at the time, I had never even heard of Swallow the Sun. What an Introduction! I couldn't get their set out of my head from the time I left the concert! Got their entire discography shortly after! Can't wait to see them again!

Opia - their set was great tho' I missed the opener. Saturnus - Hadn't heard anything that I recall from these guys and thought they might not be for me but was I wrong!! but that's all changed now, these guys were a real eye opener. Short set STS - steals the show - These P***y Doomsters are a class act. Excellent set. I'll be watching out for a return visit.

An outstanding Finish Metal evening. Thx for shining over Europa and hope you will come back soon and play ALL of your songs.

Not gonna lie, first time seeing Swallow The Sun live and they were my favourite act I've seen thus far!

We came mainly for Swallow the Sun but Draconian blew us away so that Swallow The Sun was quite pale and anti climactic in comparison. The singer did not care (so it seemed) about the audience. We left early.

Heard lots about Rome but I want overly impressed with them. Solid enough live but in my opinion not suited to the bill. Swallow the sun were really good. Very tight. But primordial stole the show. Alan is Simply one of the best vocalists in the metal scene. Great set list and a top notch performance from the lads!

Scratch it off my bucket list and would do it all over again

I only saw Aeonian Sorrow then came home, but they were fantastic. Wasn’t interested in the other 2 bands.

Amazingly tight band. They chose a selection of more shall I say commercially viable ditties. How ever the support band were varied. Aeonian Sorrow was all doom slow as you like riffs with a mix growls and beautiful clean female vocal. Oceans of slumber picked up the tempo again with the emphasis on beautiful but powerful clean female vocals. There final song being very emotional especially for the singer. My only criticism is that STS use of female vocal was very limited. What female vocals there was were from a backing track. Anathema have a female vocalist. She's not on every song. But when she is it works and adds a ambieniance you don't get from a backing track.
