About Fabio Bottazzo - Jazz Guitarist and Composer
FABIO BOTTAZZO Guitarist and composer. His playing is often described as delicate and valuing space.
Born in Padua, Italy, he studied with Italo DeAngelis, then attended the "UM" School of Music in Rome, and studied with famous instructor C. Banacos, too.
He also attended the Berklee College of Music's Summer School and participated in master classes with P. Metheny and W. Muthspiel.
After playing in a metal band, he began working as a jazz guitarist in the 1990s. He moved to Japan in 2004 in Niigata city.
He has performed with Yasuhito Mori (bass), Sebastiaan Kaptein (drums), Yoichi Okabe (perc), and Ove Ingemarsson (sax) among others.
Rich & Ricci's "What we Like'' is his fourth CD since coming to Japan. He has released many videos of his performance that incorporate the beautiful scenery of Niigata.
