Lalah hathaway is soul royalty. Her voice is like velvet. She was superb at the Jazz Cafe, the band was on point, everything gelled together, one of the best shows I've ever been to. Always loved the jazz cafe, staff always helpful and friendly, it was a brilliant night.

I didn't go to Jazz café but did attend Paris @ New Morning
The show was late, should have been 21:45 but started at 22:30 with the backing band spending a lot of time on their own songs which was disappointing.
That said, Lalah was truly amazing, well worth the trip overnight from London
Her vocals I have admired for years which is why when I couldn't make UK dates decided to travel
Would do it again

We had an incredible time at Lalah’s concert... dancing and vibing to her soulful music! The band was equally amazing, especially Jubu on his guitar! Her melodic tones truly are unmatched, and Vanta Black is such a masterpiece—it’s no surprise she's up for her 6th Grammy win! Seeing her perform live in LA more often would be such a gift. Her ability to connect with her audience through her soulful vocals is rare. Here’s hoping she announces more shows soon!

Five-time Grammy Award winner Lalah Hathaway releases her seventh solo studio album, VANTABLACK, her most empowered and impressive effort to date, June 14th via Hathaway Entertainment/SRG Records. Along with co-producers Phil Beaudreu, Ariza, Warryn Campbell and Eric Dawkins, Hathaway has created a sixteen track sonic landscape filled with dynamic production and superhuman vocals and is joined by feature performances from WILLOW, Rapsody, Common, Michael McDonald, Phonte, MC Lyte and Gerald Albright. In Hathaway’s words, ‘VANTABLACK takes its name from a pigment, the darkest shade of black ever created. It felt so right for me and this project right now because I set out to make the blackest record EVER! And I did. This album represents the multiplicity of what being black means to me. A sought-after collaborator to some of today’s top hitmakers, undeniable music royalty, and vocal abilities matched by few, Lalah Hathaway is an artist, singer/songwriter and producer not to be slept on. A purveyor of many genres whilst sharing Grammy award winning records with the likes of Beyoncé (the only two artists whom have ever won in the Best Traditional R&B Performance category three times), Hathaway’s seven solo albums are complemented by an illustrious track-record of collaborations with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Anderson.
