About f-ether
Ultimately, F-ETHER is meant to convey the human experience by way of a digital lens. Using computer music to reinterpret the spiritual abstraction tied to physical existence, he combines elements of deconstructed club, digital hardcore, and bass music to fully actualize his potential as a multifaceted artist and performer. But everyone knows that life is more than just atmospheric textures and fragmented dreamscapes that are so real you can reach out and touch them.
Those very dreams began to manifest for F-ETHER in 2015 when A-Trak and Fool's Gold Records recognized him as "more than just another DJ", awarding him grand-prize for his remix in Grand Marnier’s #BlendOut competition. From there, publications took note and went so far as to declare him “an experimental dance music legend-in-the-making”, ensuring that his local audiences listen a little more closely [Queen City Sounds and Art, 2017]. Through mentions as one of the 'best electronic artists in Denver' by 303 Magazine in both 2018 and 2019, it’s no wonder that he has become ‘a mainstay for those who dabble in the avant-garde’. With a 'best of' nomination in the 2019 Denver Westword Music Awards, F-ETHER took flight soon after. In following years he continued to soar over headlines in publications such as Canvas Rebel, DIRT Media and 303 Magazine, gaining traction for his "Arca-esque industrial siren song[s]” and his innovative approach to composition as a whole within electronic music. With a seemingly bottomless nest of ideas beneath him, fans can only begin to wonder what F-ETHER is currently brooding on.
His wingspan has stretched as far as to bills with internationally renowned artists including Flying Lotus, Anklepants, Dan Deacon, Zero Tep, Itchy-O, and Noer the Boy, and in 2022 his co-headlining tour with collaborator and fellow avant-weirdo, UaZit, he showed the West Coast the ideas that had been incubating.
Although F-ETHER started as nothing more than an egg full of dreams, that very egg has since cracked open and taken flight as so much more. By exuding a prodigious creative energy that commands attention in any room, his approach to live performance culminates in a unique A/V experience, bridging the gap between the ethereal and corporeal by way of silicon and circuitry.
