From the grandeur of the Priceless London Wondergound's Spiegeltent, to the intimacy of the Brunel Museum, and from village greens to Blitz Parties in closed down pubs, Minnie's Henhouse band has been playing some of the finest secret parties, pop-ups and public happenings in London, putting smiles on faces, feet on dance floors and helping to create amazing events. Through the Roaring Twenties in North America, Berlin, London and Paris, past 1929s crash into Great Depression, the anything-goes drinking clubs spawned from the secret speakeasies became the centre of a particular kind of social life. Minnie's Henhouse has roots built on between-the-wars ragtime sound from the original Flapper-era speakeasies, but also from the jazz and blues dens that grew out of prohibition; the hideouts and in-the-know destinations for folks who liked to spend time away from the glitzy strips that followed its repeal in 1933, and indulge their vices without being watched.
