SARAH SAVOY

Sarah Savoy's been called the Cajun version of great female artists Patti Smith, Wanda Jackson and Patsy Cline, and she has distinguished herself within the world's First Family of Cajun Music by stirring those already-rocking traditional tunes into a simmering sauce of country raunch'n'roll.

She plays piano, guitar, and accordion, sings, is a published author, speaks English, French, and Russian, teaches Cajun dancing and cooking, gives lectures and conferences on the history of Louisiana's francophones and their culture as well as on Louisiana music, is a mother and daughter and sister, and is a certified chef who has catered for Chanel, Google and Christian Louboutin.
