About Rayvon Owen
Rayvon Owen smoothly, and seemingly effortlessly, brings authenticity and emotion to his lyrical narrative and melodies. USA TODAY once said of Owen, “He developed a reputation for a singer willing to sacrifice technical perfection for a moment of authentic emotion.” Each song in his catalogue is a glimpse into who Owen is as a person, and a testament to the joy that can only come from being yourself.
Following his journey as a Season 14 Top 4 finalist on American Idol, Owen embarked on a 38-city tour as part of American Idols LIVE! On Valentine’s Day in 2015, he released the music video for his first post-Idol single, “Can’t Fight It,” alongside an exclusive Billboard interview in which he bravely came out as gay. Together with its stripped version, the Can’t Fight It era has surpassed nearly 2 million streams across platforms, marking the beginning of a career defined by both artistry and honesty. Later that same year, he released his EP Air and earned the L.A. Music Awards’ “Rising Star” title.
Since then, Owen’s glowing collection of pop gems—layered with textures of soul, R&B, and incandescent synth—have earned him attention from People Magazine, Huffington Post, USA Today, Billboard, and Nylon. He has performed his single “Gold” on The TODAY Show, been named Elvis Duran’s “Artist of the Month,” and his collaborations with Postmodern Jukebox have amassed millions of views worldwide.
With millions of streams and a dedicated global fanbase, Owen has performed with Jamie Foxx, Ricky Martin, Boy George, and Frankie Grande, toured internationally with Postmodern Jukebox, and delivered prime-time performances of the National Anthem, including for NBC Sunday Night Football.
In addition to his career as a recording artist, Owen recently served as a premiere vocalist through the U.S. Navy, performing for the President, the White House, high-level military and government officials, and world leaders. He was even singled out to deliver the National Anthem when President Biden hosted Team USA Olympians at the White House. Now a proud veteran, he is returning full-force to his artistry with a forthcoming untitled EP and his Love Me for the Night U.S. tour.
Whether in uniform or onstage, Rayvon Owen’s mission remains the same: to move his audience with authenticity, emotion, and moments that resonate long after the music fades.
