Born and raised in the Rotterdam Area, MATZ, AKA Mats, started his musical journey when he was fourteen when he was given a drum kit. It was at this moment that Mats started his passion for percussion and love for music that contains groovy rhythms and ear-catching vocals. When he acquired himself his first DJ-set, he started mixing music and found created an own sound of mixed old- and new-school music where a combination of soul and funk remains the backbone of every song from any genre he uses.
