About Jeremy Edwards
Once described by Grammy winning producer/mixer Eric J Dubowsky (Chet Faker/Flume/Angus
and Julia Stone) as 'the thinking man's Keith Richards', Jeremy Edwards is a producer, singer-
songwriter, guitarist and singer based in Thirroul, NSW. He was a Wollongong born boy to into a
family surrounded by music. His parents eclectic vinyl collection blasting constantly through the
house.. Dylan, The Stones, hardcore blues, soul and jazz, classical, Ry Cooder, Frank Zappa and
Capt. Beefheart seeping into Jeremy and is older brother’s hearts and minds. Dragged to early
concerts of Santana, George Benson, Albert and BB King..then as they started their own
Wollongong based blues and roots bands their parents were sneaking them underage into
Divinyls and Cold Chisel concerts. Bless. Blessed. After forming a 3 piece indie rock band after a
few years in Europe he started a friendship with alt country artist Corinna Steel who in turn
introduced Jeremy to Bill Chambers and the sounds and songs of Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Fred
Eaglesmith, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams and the beauty of sweet, close harmony over tough
rock n roll guitars. The die was cast.
Jeremy has played, worked with and written songs with artists as diverse as Karise Eden (2012
The Voice winner), Aleyce Simmonds (2018 Golden Guitar winner - Female artist of the year),
Kevin Bennett (Golden Guitar winner, The Flood, BBU), Lyn Bowtell (Golden Guitar winner, BBU),
Jen Mize, Shane Nicholson (Golden Guitar winner/Universal records artist), Dom Turner (The
Backsliders), Felicity Urquhart (Golden Guitar winner/ABC radio/Channel 7 weekender, BBU),
Luke O'Shea (Golden Guitar winner) and many others.
In between working with artists such as these he ran his own 5 piece alt country band Dust
Radio, was the musical director for touring acts The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men and
Pearl: The Janis Joplin Story and, with many of the artists listed, is a song writing mentor at the
annual DAG singer- songwriters retreat in Tamworth.
Jeremy has played at some of the country's major roots and country festivals such as Tamworth
Country Music Festival, The Byron Bay Bluesfest, Thredbo Blues Festival, Gympie Muster, Deni
Ute Muster and many more. 2023 will see him release Ghosts, his fourth album under his own
name, continue writing and recording with the fabulous Jen Mize and The Rough & Tumble and
others mentioned here. His first single/video from the album Boy dropping in…….

West - The Goonga Project, a very exciting rock n roll band with super producer Matt Fell and
