Della is the official evil twin of Brisbane DJ/Producer Cameron Delahunty. Known for his high-energy hands in the air approach and his undeniable desire to have as much fun as possible behind the decks, his stage presence is as infectious as the music he plays. From a young age Della was fascinated by the melodic and ambient sounds of electronic music. Growing up listening to artists such as Depeche Mode, Placebo & Eric Prydz, his love affair with music would eventually lead him to a career as a DJ. Having started his professional career as a 20-year-old, he spent the majority of his weekends roaming the dark alleyways of the Brisbane CBD and Fortitude Valley with a bag full of cd’s and Usb’s. 10 years later Della has now rocked almost every dance floor in Brisbane and performed at numerous huge festivals such as Future Music Festival. He now holds residency at one of Australia’s premiere venues The Met Brisbane and has supported the likes of Carl Cox, Robin Schulz, Will Sparks, Adrian Lux. Garreth Emery. Whether he is setting a funky chilled vibe in a cocktail lounge or bouncing a raving laser infested mosh pit, his sound is high in demand and never fails to rock a party. His ability to read a crowd and react accordingly, allows him to play to a diverse audience with his signature smooth and melodic sounds present in every set. His own edits, mashups and remixes are always a feature in his sets and are a testimate to his originality and creativity as a performer. In an age where seemingly everybody’s a DJ, Della’s one of the few emerging who can say so with vindication and credibility.
