About Snook

There are two bands going under the name Snook:

1) Snook is a Swedish hip hop group from Sundbyberg in Stockholm. They have released two full albums and several singles. Their first single was Mister Cool in 2004, and was a major hit in Sweden that summer.
The group consists of Daniel "Danne" Adams Ray and Oskar "Kihlen" Linnros, both born in 1983.
Snook has in recent years had great commercial success in Sweden - as opposed to the majority of the other Swedish hiphop artists. The name Snook actually came from a dispute between the two about who had the biggest nose (A slang word for nose in Swedish is "Snok"). Whether they resolved that matter or not remains unknown, but they did make it known that the two "o"s in Snook stand for the two of them and their noses.
This has led to critics saying that Snook's music is produced with mainly commercial success in mind.
The debut album came out in 2004 and is called "Vi vet inte vart vi ska men vi ska komma dit".
Their latest album, "Är", was released in late April 2006. Their first singles from the new album are "Snook svett och tårar" and "Längst fram i taxin".
They also won the price for best swedish artist at the MTV Music Awards.
At the Swedish 2006 Grammy Awards they won best Hiphop/Soul act.

2) Snook is a Swiss rock band from Zürich in Switzerland.
Their debut EP came out in 2003, and is called "A Bag Full Of Money And An Ass Full Of Rock". It was followed by A Download-EP "Action Fuelled" in 2004. In 2006/07 they released their first full-length CD, named "Blessed With Rock N Roll".
