About Ashley LeBlanc
Ashley is a 17 year old country music singer/songwriter from Brantford ,Ontario, Canada. Singing Martina McBride and Shania Twain as a little girl in the backseat, shortly after she learned to talk, was the first sign that she had a real passion for music.
After learning how to play guitar at a young age, learning to sing along came naturally. After hearing Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn on her Dad’s jukebox, she knew country music and the classic songwriting was where she belonged. After her Uncle gave her a classic 60’s record player, she started collecting old vinyl LP’s and studied the songs from a time in traditional country where talent and strong voices mattered most.
Her shyness was some work to overcome, and it would be some time later before performing in front of a crowd became more comfortable. She began singing in church, school, at retirement homes and local coffee shops. In doing that, she was able to improve her skills on guitars and vocals, and develop a solid interest in writing her own music.
After a few trips to Nashville on family vacation including stops at Graceland, Loretta’s Ranch and the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ashley was more sure than ever that music was where her heart was most full. She knew music was her calling.
After releasing her first EP at 13, she continued to write songs and take lessons and learn from talented musicians who continued to mentor her. In 2019, she released her first full album entitled “The Luckiest Girl in the World”. Ashley wrote all the songs herself, including the music and was joined on the album by some of Canada’s top musicians. After a highly successful CD release party, her songs were played across lots of indie radio stations across the globe - including Canada, Germany, Australia, Texas and Nashville.
Currently, Ashley performs most weekends in her hometown area at various events including summer and fall fairs, charity events, local pubs and breweries. She was also asked to sing the National Anthem for a local boxing match and proud to also sing for a televised event for a local hockey team. She also has some local gigs that have consistently booked her back.
For 2020, she will continue to write new music with the hopes of releasing another new album. She will continue to perform every chance she gets. She has also been asked to perform at the ISSA Awards in Atlanta, Georgia in August. Stay tuned, Ashley LeBlanc is just getting started!
