There's no possible way to call ShatterRed an ordinary Christian band. Yes, you could probably define their musical style generically as rock/pop. Sure, you could likely place them as a fun loving party band with a worship vibe and a passionate heart for the Gospel, but ShatterRed is not around to simply fit into the mold of a typical CCM prescense. Rather, they're here to innovate and change the way the world views Christian music. ShatterRed strives to remain accessible, yet grounded in the truth. They're not afraid to attempt what no one else has done before, whether it's a prayer for the listener towards the end of their album, the use of bubble machines at live shows, or a creative desire to incoorporate outfits made of feathers (http://www.facebook.com/FeatherBoyFan). They are currently based out of Anderson, IN, with 4 out of the 6 members being studying as either Worship or Music Business Majors. ShatterRed was born out of a vision between Logan Crockett and Jake Tudor back in 2009. Due to several experiences with Camp Electric, Christian music festivals, and attending live Christian concert after live Christian concert (most often front row), the fire to be a part of the Christian music industry continued to burn brighter and brighter. Now, ShatterRed is exceptionally excited to finally be a part of what they have loved for so long. On October 9, 2012, ShatterRed released their debut full length album, "Scarlet Rain." The album was entirely self recorded, mixed, and mastered. Lyric videos are currently under construction for every single song. A series of cover videos is also underway. ShatterRed's mission is to lead people to a broken heart so that God can ultimately reform it into something purely beautiful. Red is the color of life. Red is the color of the heart. And as soon as it's shattered, everything can appear hopeless. But it is at the moments of greatest helplessness that we cling more tightly than ever to God. There's a reason that the Bible talks about Christians being born again and becoming a new creation. On our own, it's impossible to live and love in the way that God intended for us, but He offered the world a way to something so much better. He sacrificed His Son, causing the most powerful heart in existence to break in the most devastating of ways. Because of this, Heaven and an eternal, intense love relationship with God was suddenly opened up for anyone who believes, but it's hard to believe if your heart is numb. And sometimes, a broken heart is the only way to make it feel anything, but as soon as we let God take us and reshape us into His children, any brokenness is suddenly heavily overshadowed by glory.
