Steve Saxton Solo Artist

Steve has been writing and performing his own music for a number of years as a solo artist and fronting a number of different line-ups. Steve has a new single 'Seabreeze' which will be released in early 2018 It was recorded in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia with Kris Schroeder form Melbourne band The Basics as Producer. Steve recorded his first single entitled ‘Home’ with Shane O’Mara at his ‘Yikesville’ studio in Yarraville in 2014 which was released independently. The first track ‘Home’ features the talented Lachy Doley on Hammond Organ. The second EP “Far From Home" draws on influences of Alt Country and Contemporary folk and Indie Rock. 2016 has seen Steve perform with full band at the Basin Festival, The Aireys Inlet Open Mike Festival, and solo acoustic shows in regional Victoria, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane Perth and Auckland New Zealand. Early in his career Steve was “Unearthed” by National broadcast radio Triple J receiving high rotation airplay and a spot on the first Unearthed CD alongside other winners like Grinspoon as part of the prize. Steve’s solo offerings are typical of his “heart on sleeve” style with storytelling lyrics and floating melodies. Australian Singer songwriter. First independent single release June 2015.
