Putting The Fun Back In Dysfunction EST 2017 What’s in a name? And more importantly what kind of BS name is Passionflower? Well you’ve already read the first line and this one so you’re too late to go back now mates, you might as well take some more time out of your life read my sort of intriguing origin story. Whilst His Former Band A Kid Called Danger were taking a break bassist Kyle Richardson-Nickle decided to start his own solo project under the moniker of Young Cardinal. That project was short lived and terrible. Whilst studying music at University Of Chester, Kyle honed his penchant for song writing and blending genres of music. As well as growing an eclectic collection of memes and pizza boxes. It wasn’t until summer 2016 that Kyle began showcasing his musical efforts of songs. Under the new moniker of Passionflower, Kyle writes songs that display the effects of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety and feeling hopeless whilst also contrastingly writing about love delivering a sonic experience consisting of Emo/ Pop Punk and Post-Hardcore influences.
