Cirkus Prütz

Cirkus Prütz is a prominent Swedish blues rock band formed in 2009 by bassist Jerry Prütz and drummer Per Kohlus.Known for their high-energy boogie and 1970s-style classic rock grooves, their music draws strong comparison to legends like ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, and Rory Gallagher.

The band was created by chance in Linköping, Sweden, when Jerry Prütz and Per Kohlus needed a temporary name for a pub gig. They quickly gained traction in the Scandinavian rock scene. Their lineup expanded to include heavy-hitting veterans from established Swedish bands, including Franco Santunione of Electric Boys and formerly Christian Carlsson of The Quill. The band's debut album, All For The Boogie And The Blues, was released in 2017.

The band broke into international recognition with their second record, White Jazz – Black Magic (2019), which was praised by blues icon Joe Bonamassa as one of the best albums of that year. They continued their momentum by releasing Blues Revolution in 2022 and Manifesto in 2025, the latter produced by legendary metal producer Peter Tägtgren.
