The talent of AlexXxan is a like a well written science fiction story. Dynamic, suspenseful, and full of character development. Honing his craft across the East Coast and beyond, his cutting edge style on the decks has been known to take one's breath away. AlexXxan's path to the decks started in 1996, a time in which he found himself exposed to electronic music via the local college radio station. Inspired by this listening experience, as well as his enjoyment of the soundtrack for the 1995 film Hackers, young AlexXxan was immediately hooked, and was soon looking for ways to contribute to Boston's burgeoning electronic music community. By 2008, AlexXxan was working the decks for the first time, DJing in goth/industrial venues throughout the Boston area. Since these formative years, AlexXxan's repertoire has grown to encompass other celebrated genres. A production student of the acclaimed Mmmmaven electronic music & DJing school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, some of AlexXxan's signature genres include techno, booty house, goth/industrial, and atmospheric dubstep. The main foundation of the AlexXxan sound, undeniably, is his first love: industrial-rooted dark techno. Nobody unleashes this sound quite like AlexXxan, who considers this genre the very nuts and bolts of his unique tapestry of sound. With great precision, AlexXxan takes sounds and styles from a plethora of subcultures, seamlessly combining them into a beat that is accessible to any audience, and simultaneously maintains a one-of-a-kind personality all its own. This charismatic DJ connects with his audience like no other DJ on today's electronic music circuit, bold enough to take risks while exposing his fans and comrades to new sounds. For several years, AlexXxan plied his trade at some of the most beloved party experiences in the Northeastern United States, such as Ceremony, LEGACY, CVLT, Superstition, Plague, and the outdoor arts festival known as Firefly. In addition, he has also worked the decks at the Know No Truth art gallery, and as a resident for the Tech Noir event. These credentials would serve to pave the way for the monthly party vibe that has become one of AlexXxan's true calling cards: the monthly space-themed party vibe KNTRL. AlexXxan serves as one half of the interplanetary "Mission KNTRL" tag team, literally getting the club goin' up with a cavalcade of futuristic house and techno sounds, combined with dazzling visuals and eye-catching bodypainting exhibitions.
