Richie Kotzen

Richie Kotzen concert was amazing. The sound was fantastic. We also saw him at the Iridium and the Ardmore Theater. My favorite performance was Ardmore. Fabulous sound, very intimate and comfortable. Plus Mike Portnoy sat in for a song. Bonus Plan!! Richie is a musicians, musician. A must see.

I’ve been following Richie in his solo career for about the past decade and Dylan Wilson for the past few years, but this is the first time I’ve had to see them live. It was WELL worth the wait. These two are truly world class musicians…. I’ve seen some of the best guitarists and bassists in the industry live over the years and Richie and Dylan are amongst them. They’ve also picked up a phenomenal Brazilian drummer to back them up. All that to say, one of the best shows I have ever seen!

Corabi was very cool. Not a big fan of his but I thoroughly enjoyed his acoustic opening set. Kotzen was his usual eccentric but bohemian-cool self. Tore it up with that fascinating finger-style picking that just doesn't seem like it could ever be effective with the rock stuff he plays, but he's a monster talent in every way.

Richie was all I had hoped he would be… and more! He was engaging, seemed relaxed and it was over before I knew what hit me! His guitar and vocals are sheer perfection and he makes it all seem so effortless. But it’s not, if you really watch and listen, it is an incredibly intricate journey at most points, vocals one minute, guitar the next! Dylan Wilson, his bassist, is incredible in his own right and I am not letting him and his new album off my radar! The drummer, Bruno Valverde, is very good also! A pleasure to watch and groove with. Bottom line, don’t miss anything with Richie Kotzen involved! I guarantee it will be quality, awe-inspiring music that will resonate with you forever. Barnato was an absolute perfect venue for this. It is beautiful, intimate and the sound was excellent.

Knuckleheads Garage was a great venue for this show. Fairly intimate and sound was great.

I knew what to expect from Richie Kotzen. But what I saw was so much more! Richie's guitar skills are evenly matched by his soulful vocals. He played a great mix of old and new music with such majesty and skill. His accompanying band are great musicians, and they played their hearts out for the medium sized crowd. I left with my soul fulfilled and the satisfaction of seeing a great show! Now I just need to find my face 'cause he melted it off.

Awesome set! it was a surreal experience to see one of my rock idols live onstage. Richie Kotzen remains to be one of the most skilled rock performers to date.

What a performance ! He went through a great set list that included a couple new songs. His band was tight and Richie delivered the chops. The dude can play guitar. Going to see him in Roseville tonight.

Awesome show. Richie, Bruno and Dylan were in top form and put on a really great performance. Love seeing Bruno back on the drum kit for Richie. Saw him on the Smith/Kotzen tour. Richie's guitar tone was damn tasty as usual. Dylan's bass playing and tone was crisp and punchy.

Great show! Good venue! Great night! The band came on stage looking enthusiastic and ready to tear it up. Well-paced set with hard rockers, grooves and a few ballads. Richie's tone and chops are awe-inspiring! Dylan Wilson on bass and drummer Bruno Valverde both showed off their chops too. It's not always about Richie!

This three musicians groove through Richie‘s repertoire with lots of passion and skill. Personally I could have gone with a little more rock and a little less soul on this night.

Kotzen is always killer with a keen sense of being musical first. Not to mention he has a tight rhythm section. The Rose is a great venue and sound system to boot.

Chill night at the Canyon to see three excellent guitar players. Gus G. And Vinnie Moore both brought it with groovy, bluesy, and metal riffs. Both used the same excellent bass player and drummer pulling double-duty during each set. Richie Kotzen was his amazing self, finger picking his guitar to make his signature blues-rock melodies. His soulful voice filled the room, eliciting Miles of Smiles throughout the room. Although this was his second to last show of his short tour, I would definitely recommend seeing Richie in any configuration he comes to your town in... whether on his solo tour, or with The Winery Dogs. A good night will be had guaranteed

The show itself was great even though it was a little too short since there were two opening bands and the venue had a curfew. What I was upset was that one of the waiters kept walking front of us (right by the stage) back and forth so many times. EVEN during the very last song Richie played just to collect EMPTY GLASSES!!! It was sooo annoying and very inconsiderate of him! I hope It won’t happen next time I go see someone at Yoshi’s! It really was annoying!

Fantastic show! All 3 bands were gre at. Ritchi Kotzen is really good live. First time seeing him. Would definitely go see him again! Top singer songwriter around. Keep rocking!

King Richie put on a guitar and vocal clinic. Very good set list which featured different time periods in his career. Only problem was the volume/mix was a little low. But, with RK you never get cheated. A pros pro who delivers the goods each time you see him.........fantastic show...Thanks Richie, see you next year.....

One of the best trios I've ever seen in my life...The show was amazing!!! I grew up around some of the best players in the world and Richie just completely amazed me last night. Truly a talented artist and amazing vocalist, I would love to see him again. Never seen anybody do that with a Fender Strat... Beautiful voice and a true soulful artist great moves thank you so much Richie for a great night and a great performance and wonderful experience...

Richie was great as always but he had to deal with some technical problems that made him end the concert a little earlier 'cause he was very unconfortable with that.Anyway, i would like to see him again soon.

The Richie Kotzen show was truly an amazing experience. This living legend is by far the single most talented musician I've ever seen live. What a great night! I recommend everyone should go and listen to his music and catch a live show soon, he's just on another level. Amazing. The whole band was amazing! What an honour to witness.
