As far back as she can remember, Deidra has been a creator. The life of an artist is not defined by what they do, but rather by what they think they can't do. Spending the majority of her adult life, doing what people "thought " she should do became very monotonous and droll. So at the age of 24 De decided to step out of the zone of comfort and experience a life full of creation and love.

After graduating University, and making a successful career as a Registered Massage Therapist life would start to get very predictable for this young lady. Many other artists say they always knew there was something more, something missing, a hidden part of themselves waiting to break free. But no one likes to sound too cliche. The business aspect of being self employed, while traveling to and from Calgary and Vancouver made it hard to have time to dedicate to music. The years between 2008-2010 would set the stage for a young woman to grow and emerge into the image she had always seen herself in. Imagine yourself, fall 2008 sitting in front of your computer. Curiously searching for a meaning to your life after a few failed attempts of saving the world; on the internet. As luck would have it, you stumble upon an add that says "DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A STAR?" music-recording-representation-a company that will guide you to where you need to go. Enough said, respond to the add.....lets get this train rolling. You have now walked in someone else's shoes.

Fast forward to 2014. Its Dee's time to SHINE & her journey has only just begun.
