About Jordan Newt

The San Francisco-born artist and current Los Angeles resident is poised to ascend to the top of the entertainment scene. No strangers to the business of making hits, the Newt family has music pumping through their blood. Jordan Newt draws professional guidance and influence from his uncle (J Valentine) and dad (Bob Newt), veteran hit-makers responsible for such chart-topping tracks as LeToya Luckett’s “Regret,” N’SYNC’s “Celebrity” and “Dirty Pop,” Tyrese’s “I Like Them Girls,” Mario’s “How Could You,”and Pleasure P’s Grammy Nominated single, “Under.” The dynamic duo proved to play instrumental roles in kickstarting the 14-year-old’s early pursuits in the music industry but it is his natural talent and genuine passion for the craft that will prove to fuel the longevity behind Jordan Newt’s career. As one of six, Jordan credits the support from each unit of his family as vital to his career’s recent success. His older brother, BJ (current sophomore in high school) and younger brother Andrew (currently in eighth grade) co-manage his career. His sisters (Ronni, young Brandy) and Monet (eldest of the Newt clan and current student at San Francisco State) have played important parts in shaping Jordan’s character as a well-rounded young man and role model paving the way for others to inspire others. Jordan’s baby sister (Chloe, age 1) is just starting to talk but she is already showing her support for Jordan’s career. “She keeps (Jordan) smiling always with her huge character and she loves (his) music! Every time she is at one of (his) shows or hears one of (his) songs come on she jumps up and down and starts dancing! Jordan is certain Cloe knows it’s her big brother’s voice and her excitement really motivates me to make more music to keep bringing out that smile.” However, his dad is without a doubt, the greatest influence to date on Jordan and his career “and even when people didn't think that the ‘Jordan Newt project’ was going to succeed, [his] dad still had faith that we would.” Jordan decided to fully commit to becoming an entertainer during his 8th grade year at Millikan Middle School. Many of his peers were also talented entertainers, dancers, artists, etc. and inspirational figures giving Jordan the freedom to explore his interest and hone musical his talents. His professional role models include Lil Wayne (creative and lyrical inspiration to Jordan), Kanye West (individualistic inspiration to Jordan), and Will.i.an (an all around artist inspiring Jordan stylistically, artistically and beyond, as an inspiration to one day produce). In addition to entertainment, Jordan had previous aspirations of pursuing careers in the NBA or NFL. He still maintains his passion for both sports, basketball in the Spring and football in the Fall but he had never imagined his career would evolve and take the shape it has so early on in his life nor did Jordan ever imagine he’d ever want a career before his 15th birthday. It wasn’t until he realized how much fun he could have doing something he love and making a career for himself. It was then that it became obvious to Jordan that he had chosen the right path and hasn’t looked back since. Jordan hopes to someday collaborate with artists whose work he admires including Tyga, YMTK, Meek Millz, Justin Beiber, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, B.O.B, and Mindless Behavior. Beyond music, Jordan has aspirations to explore other areas of entertainment specifically, acting and gearing up for to pursue his goals in acting by training and studying the craft whenever he can.
