About OH! Divide

In September of 2010, Freshmen Solomon Whitaker and Tyler Bird met at University of the Cumberlands in their elementary greek class. Tyler commented on a band t-shirt that Solomon was wearing and asked if he played any instruments. When Tyler found out that Solomon played bass, Tyler set up a time with Solomon to have a jam session. When Tyler went to Solomon's room for their scheduled jam session, Tyler found out that Solomon's roommate, Jordan Infield, played keys, percussion, and sang. After their first jam session in a dorm room, OH! Divide was born. As a band, they decided that their sole purpose was ministry and helping people to come in contact with Jesus Christ. Later on in the semester, Tyler heard Erika Dobbs (his now wife Erika Bird) sing at a worship service and approached her to see if she would be interested in practicing with the band. After a practice, she was in. After 5 years of playing together OH! Divide continues to live out the same purpose it began with: point people to Jesus Christ on and off stage. Luke 16:26 What separates you?
