Australian singer-songwriter Georgia Germein is a refreshingly honest young female artist, whose unique brand of pop/folk/rock has lead her to a breadth of experience and credits that defy her years. Having already completed two international tours and received rave reviews on the national and international stage with her band the Germein Sisters, Georgia’s catchy melodies with a message are leaving listeners across the globe spell bound.

Based on a bushland property in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia; talented multi-instrumentalists Georgia, Ella and Clara Germein are currently touring their highly anticipated debut album “Because You Breathe” around Australia, Europe and the UK. Recorded in Ireland with producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs, Westlife), and assisted by Jealoustown Studio’s Stuart Gray (Sinead O’Connor), this album indeed showcases their depth of talent.

Georgia, lead vocalist, pianist and guitarist is a songwriter with a passion whose award-winning music reflects her commitment to the underprivileged and the excluded. Clara, on drums and guitar, and Ella on bass and electric cello weave a rich musical tapestry around Georgia’s intricate melodies; and topped off with their beautiful sibling harmonies, the girls have captured the imagination of critics everywhere:

Irish sensation Brian Kennedy (Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell) heard “Because You Breathe” when he was in the studio in Dublin with Billy Farrell earlier this year, and was blown away and didn’t hesitate in inviting the Germein Sisters to perform with him on his Australian Tour. The girls have been nominated for Best Pop Artists 2013 in the Fowlers Live Music Awards top 5, and are currently in the Top 30 Artists Across Australia in the First Break Commercial Radio Competition.

Georgia, Ella, and Clara are currently Artist Associate’s with World Vision Australia, with Georgia having volunteered in the Kalahari Desert South Africa, Nepal, & Malaysia. Georgia is also a Youth Advocate for the Red Cross and Nature Foundation SA, and a carer for orphaned kangaroo joeys through Fauna Rescue SA.

Georgia’s songwriting awards include seven ASME Young Composers Awards, semi finalist in the International Song-writing Competition, finalist in the Australian Song-writing Competition, and National Winner of the Red Cross Radio Competition for Nova.

Georgia’s solo album ‘Take My Hand’ produced by Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone) is currently receiving airplay worldwide as part of the South Australian Tourism Commission’s International Online Marketing Campaign.
