About Albatross Archive
Albatross Archive is an eclectic duo of keys and drums based in Cardiff. Originally based around pianist/vocalist Richard Jackson’s solo material, their sound continues to evolve, with jazz percussion and live electronics complimenting subtly dramatic songwriting. Their songs are centered around themes of self-acceptance, personal struggles, and emotional release through introspection. Known for their technically demanding live shows, typically accompanied by live animated visuals, they have supported the likes of Manu Delago, Gulp and Cymbals. Their most recent release ‘Ribcage’, which was funded through winning The Big Gig 2014, was described by Pure Magazine in their four-star review as “ richly entertaining, immersive and evocative”, “laced with hints of jazz, soul, and a little synth-pop”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ianiJ4WgEV0 albatrossarchive.com @AlbatrossArc
