THE BC COMBO, featuring MoMojo Records recording artist Bev Conklin, has been bringing their signature style and passion to Blues, Jazz, Swing, Folk, R&B, Soul and more for over 30 years. Based in the Lehigh Valley PA, this band's journey began as BC & The Blues Crew in 1992. The BC Combo has been headlining and performing throughout the Northeast at major festivals and concerts since their journey began. The band has been graced with performances on bills that included Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Ronnie Earl, Shemekia Copeland, Kenny Neal, Son Seals, Lonnie Brooks, Rhonnie Baker Brooks, Saffire, the Holmes Brothers, Pinetop Perkins, Eddie the Chief Clearwater, Carl Weathersby, Eddie King and so many more. The BC Combo is composed of world-class international touring artists from New Orleans, Chicago, and Bethlehem PA. In addition to making it to the Finals at the International Blues Competition in Memphis TN representing Billtown Blues Association, they are among the Lehigh Valley’s highly respected bands. The band reels you in with their signature style, wit and humor; recognized by audiences across the region and abroad. New Orleans sent the Northeast a Queen and her name is Bev Conklin. BC is the voice of this band, the creator and event organizer of the Lehigh River Blues Jam and creator of the Women's Blues Alliance along with an international touring band to include Wayne Smith on guitar and vocals, is the band leader, producer and arranger on all their material, insuring a new show from his multitude of experience and influences. Chicago/Detroit native, Joe Mac... pours the tone and grooves on guitar. Retired firefighter, Glenn Spadone puts his vibe on drums. We are graced with two highly respected bassists that cover our events… Mitch Shelly (formerly with BC & The Blues Crew and Bluzin) on electric and upright bass is highly sought after and continues to work with us on most of our events, while Moravian grad and CPA and business owner, Nick Roberti (formerly with BC & The Blues Crew), fills-in on occasion during non-tax season adding vocals to the mix.
