About Indigo Girls

Indigo Girls
The Indigo Girls are Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. They met on the playground in grammar school in Decatur, Georgia, and have been playing together since high school. They were signed to Epic Records in 1989 and won the grammy for best contemporary folk album later that year (for their self titled release) Some of their hit songs include "Galileo," "Closer to Fine," and "Shame on You."
Aside from being musicians, Ray and Saliers are activists, constantly supporting causes like gun control, women's rights, Native American rights, environmental protection, lesbian/gay/trans rights, and abortion rights. They constantly devote their time and money to such causes, often playing benefit concerts.
Ray and Saliers both have side projects. Ray owns and founded Daemon Records, an independent label based in Decatur. She also has a career as a solo artist, and has released two albums thus far. Saliers is the part owner of Watershed, a restaurant and wine bar in Decatur.
Together, the Indigo Girls are constantly touring. Their new album, Despite Our Differences, was released 19 September 2006.

The Orion is beautiful and super accommodating. We had amazing seats and the show was just as superb!!!! These Girls are still SO freaking good and cool and wonderful women. I just wish I could go hang out with them!!!! I used to follow them back in the day when we were all a lot younger 😂. Now, life is different, but still so damn good!!!!! Thanks keeping up the hard work and dedication and entertaining the hell out of your fans!!!! ❤️

What an amazing show! Melissa Etheridge put on an incredible performance, as always. The Indigo Girls did not disappoint. Their harmonies are incredible. It was awesome when Etheridge came up and sang, "Kid Fear." What an amazing rendition. I've seen over 70 concerts and this one is in my top 10. The irony is I went to Melissa Etheridge's "Yes I Am" Tour. This time it was "Yes We Are!" Gotta love the irony!

Venue is terrific; can see from everywhere; Soundsystem is excellent; staff is the very best
Concert is what you expect from the Indigo Girls – absolutely the best as it has been for the 20+ years I have been going. Band is wonderful and adds such depth. Surprise guest Brandi Carlile was an added treat. To listen to them and how they have matured since Brandi first Toured with them, all those years ago.
Best time ever! Please come back!
