Venue is terrific; can see from everywhere; Soundsystem is excellent; staff is the very best
Concert is what you expect from the Indigo Girls – absolutely the best as it has been for the 20+ years I have been going. Band is wonderful and adds such depth. Surprise guest Brandi Carlile was an added treat. To listen to them and how they have matured since Brandi first Toured with them, all those years ago.
Best time ever! Please come back!

Sweet, intimate venue that's just perfect for the Indigo Girls, allowing interaction between the audience and the Girls. Lucy Wainwright Roche was supposed to open, but was absent due to illness, which I was sad about. She is great as a solo artist & I wanted to hear about her new adventure as a mother. She also provides vocal support for Emily, who has had voice issues as she gets older. This audience stepped up and sang along, providing that support, which was very sweet. I cried tears of happiness through most of it, as I do, since they are my favorites.

The Indigo Girls are as amazing as when I saw them 20 years ago. The Peace Center is wonderful. I only wish that the overall sound is better. I saw Wicked from the founders circle and many parts were too quiet. I was in the orchestra part for Indigo Girls and the sound was a bit better.

About Indigo Girls
The Indigo Girls are Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. They met on the playground in grammar school in Decatur, Georgia, and have been playing together since high school. They were signed to Epic Records in 1989 and won the grammy for best contemporary folk album later that year (for their self titled release) Some of their hit songs include "Galileo," "Closer to Fine," and "Shame on You."
Aside from being musicians, Ray and Saliers are activists, constantly supporting causes like gun control, women's rights, Native American rights, environmental protection, lesbian/gay/trans rights, and abortion rights. They constantly devote their time and money to such causes, often playing benefit concerts.
Ray and Saliers both have side projects. Ray owns and founded Daemon Records, an independent label based in Decatur. She also has a career as a solo artist, and has released two albums thus far. Saliers is the part owner of Watershed, a restaurant and wine bar in Decatur.
Together, the Indigo Girls are constantly touring. Their new album, Despite Our Differences, was released 19 September 2006.
