About Joe Stone

Joe Stone is the alter ego of Dutch DJ Maurice Oude Booyink, who's been working as a DJ/producer for years. making waves with a full fledged, contemporary though 90s styled house sound. But while the name is new to the scene, the background of this DJ/productional act already speaks volumes, ranging from classical music training to producing timeless house tunes and remixes for some of the biggest names out there. He started his musical career at an early age, playing keys at the age of seven, and it didn't take him long to create new, original melodies. Growing up on a diet of funk and soul music, he masters these styles in his first band at the age of sixteen, followed by producing his first dance records. 'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' Joe Stone's first single 'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' gains lots of attention in summer 2015, as it toys with the eponymous 1995 Montell Jordan hit, repackaging it in a solid 21st century house groove, featuring the original vocals approved by Montell Jordan himself. Cool stuff, rising to the #1 spot of Beatport's main chart within a week after its release in May 2015, while gaining support from loads of DJs out there put Joe Stone on a worldwide radar and entered the UK single chart. By now, the track counts over 25 million Spotify streams, making it one of the most impressive dance debuts ever. This smashing entry to the house-scene was followed up by two monster collabs, 'Freak (And You Know It)' together with Daser was released at the end of 2015, soon reaching the #2 spot on Beatport’s main selling charts. And at the beginning of 2016 'Man Enough' , a co-production with Ferreck Dawn reached that same desirable spot. In the meantime, Joe Stone was a fierce addition to festival line-ups all over the world, Tomorrowland, Dancevalley, Judgement Ibiza, Hed Kandi and Sunrise Festival being only a few of the highlights of his impressive tourschedule. All this touring led to fresh inspiration for new masterpieces, such as ‘Make Love’ and ‘Let’s Go Together’, tracks that were so heavily supported that attention was drawn from other big names in the industry, which soon led to a stream of remix-requests. Joe Stone’s remixes for Kriss Kross Amsterdam, Quintino, Felix Jaehn, EDX, R3hab, Lost Frequencies and David Guetta & Afrojack’s ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ have a staggering total amount of over 10 million plays on Spotify, so expectations are high for his latest remix for Sam Feldt, ‘Carry Me Home’. With his latest release with Cr3on, ‘Is It Really Love’ already as #1 Trending track on 1001 Tracklists, over 1,2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and the massive and ever-expanding amount of subscribers to his monthly ‘Sound Of Stone’ radioshow, Joe Stone is definitly the one-to-watch for 2018!
