Michael Kiwanuka

I sadly only saw half of Michael's gig at Bournmouth in 2020 due to him taking ill. However Michael and his talented musicians and vocalists were exceptional at Wolverhampton. The arrangement and sound was fantastic and it was a privilege to watch such an amazing show. Respect to Michael, his band and tech team.

Great concert. My only complaint was that a tall man was sitting in front of me in the circle so had to look around a bit to get a decent view.

Absolutely brilliant. One of the best gigs I've been to in years! All of the musicians were absolutely fantastic and michael was just awesome. Vocals , whole vibe and setlist were perfect. Go and see him if you can! ♥️♥️♥️

The show was truly captivating, filled with many emotional moments that resonated deeply. However, the experience was somewhat marred by the venue. The Zenith struggled with poor acoustics. Furthermore, the bar crew failed to maintain silence during quiet and emotional parts of the performance which was extremely annoying. Despite these issues, the show itself was memorable and impactful.

Unforgettable experience! Michael and the band were absolutely amazing. Show went almost 2 hours and we didn’t want it to end. Can’t wait to see them again.

For a guy who works in the industry and sees shows all the time I gotta say Michael Kiwanukas performance at the Chicago theater was one of the best shows I have ever been a part of. Britney Howard opened the show and brought a gospel revival vibe with powerful and positive energy, she is absolutely electric and always a joy to experience. The lighting director for the show was top notch and a total pro. The audio quality in the room was absolutely perfect, and trust me people I explored the space from the ground floor all the way to top row balcony and it was flawless. Crucial thanks to all the local stagehands and house crew for helping to make it happen again and again. I loved the theater and will definitely be back. On the down side of things the theater uses ticket master and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE trying to get my tickets. I ended up getting a link for two new tickets at 5pm day of show because they couldn’t figure out the issues. They had no one working on the weekend to contact to help remedy the issue. I will never use ticket master again and wish more venues and bands would get on board and demand a solution to the evil monster that is ticket master.

Absolutely phenomenal!!!! Michael and the band were amazing!!! The sound quality was not so awesome, sadly!!! The sound was worse with the opening musician. We actually couldn’t make out anything she was saying or singing it was that bad. We compared the sound to the teacher from Charlie Brown. A bunch of us were discussing how horrible the sound was. We were praying the sound would get better for Michael. It did get better but was still muffled, to no fault of Michael or any of them in the band. I saw another concert at this venue and the sound was amazing. That concert used all seating and did not have anyone standing and I wondered if that was the difference??? If I had lots of money, I would see Michael and the band at every concert they performed. I will never, however, pay for a stand up concert at this venue again. All the people around me were so disappointed. Not with Michael but the sound in that venue. 😞😞😊😊❤️❤️

Absolutely brilliant. Michael sounded exactly how you hear him on Spotify. Excellent outside venue . Although it did rain. Was so pleased we bought balcony tickets as we were dry.

What a great night! Supports were great but then on came THE MAN. Michael. The huge sound and detailed vocals of the two backing singers absolutely blew me away. Superb bass, drums, keyboard and lead guitar surrounded MKs soulful voice and acoustic guitar. Last two tracks brought tears to my eyes and a huge grin. Ended too quickly for me though😭

Casi 2 horas de concierto. En directo suenan mejor que en los discos y las luces las más preciosas que he visto nunca. Un flipe en toda regla!

Una conferma! Altissimi livelli molto raffinato, scenografia stupenda, il vittoriale e’ tappa obbligata almeno 1 volta a stagione. Le 2 coriste: Emily Holligan and Simone Richards super…il kiwi non delude Mai. Approfittatene per visitare la casa di D’Annunzio nel pomeriggio…..

So warm and cozy. The artist has a true spirit, he doesn’t pretend to be a super star although the concert space was full and showed love for him, he stayed shy and concentrated to his music. That’s the second thing I love about Michael Kiwanuka after his music - very down to earth, not trying to light up the audience (which is simply done by him being himself and his music), not talking when has nothing to say, just share this amazing gift his songs.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show, from beginning to end. I'm a wheelchair user and had a reserved space for myself and the person wth me. We had a great view and a great night. Not only that, I was amazed at how fantastic the staff at o2 Academy Glasgow were. From the moment I got wheeled out of the taxi, they were there to help. Nothing was a problem to them and they were all really friendly. One of them even came to check that I was getting on ok with my taxi booking home, offering to get me across the road if it made access to the taxi easier. Thank you, Michael Kiwanuka, his backing singers and band,his support acts and the o2 Academy staff.

it was one of the most vibey concerts i’ve ever been to! gr8 opening band and an even more fantastic show from michael! i was stunned! :))

Really nice. It was like a rock n roll concert in term of sounds. This guy is gifted. No doubts about that. And I looked at him and I felt like the world was kind and peaceful. I liked that feeling.

The whole gig was a master class in musicianship and exceeded all expectations. All the songs played were beautifully enhanced renditions from all 3 albums which really elevated what are already very full and rich sounding tracks on record. Was absolutely spectacular to hear and watch. The whole band and the backing singers were first class. Go check Mr Kiwanuka if you get the chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Stellar. He is the consummate singer songwriter and performer. His band was amazing and tight. Musicians all. Hit all his hits and what a great guitarist.

Amazing! If you get a chance to see Michael you're in for a treat. He's an amazing artist. You won't regret it. Was so excited to see him at his first show at The Fillmore, poster and all!

Amazing gig and great support acts. The venue acoustics are phenomenal. Union chapel is a spellbinding venue. He performed tracks from the current record and some older tracks.......the encore was the late Prince track. Cannot rate highly enough:)
