About The Picture and the Frame

If the Avett Brothers had a sister who was into PJ Harvey, they might sound like The Picture and the Frame. With a couple of song-writers from the South and a drummer from Seattle, all coming of age in the 90s, the family dynamic makes sense. This earnest east-side indie outfit straddles the folksy yearning of Lucinda Williams and the energy of the Black Keys, if they were hanging out with "Exile in Guyville"-era Liz Phair. They've had an auspicious start, recording their debut EP, "Sounds Like Sex," at the legendary Village Studios, and placing their self-produced single, "Cash Crop," on Fox's "Raising Hope." Their first full-length album, "Reverb and Gin," with Local Natives' producer Raymond Richards, comes out May 7th. A sweet indie band from LA's east side FIRST FULL-LENGTH ALBUM OUT MAY 7TH!
