About Camille Dupree & Broken Fetters
Camille Dupree & Broken Fetters craft musical stories that wrestle with undeserved redemption, fresh love, and strong ties to family that are at one time unique and universal. The band holds their music in fresh tension: expanding upon the vast history of Folk Americana music they explore themes of identity and youth with traditional instruments and non-traditional musical structures. Dancing between the dark and the light, the bitter and the sweet, their music is nostalgic, wistful, and always ends with a shred of hope. Since October 2011 Camille Dupree & Broken Fetters devoted most of their time to writing new music, playing as many shows as possible, and recording. The result is, they believe, two records that display their signature tension, the harmonious blend of their individual musical pasts combined with their limitless future as a band. Their debut Bohemians EP was released in June 2012 with seven original songs. Within the next year they released Demand to Glow, their full length album with ten new original songs. Fan favorites such as Saint Peter, Sinking, and the ever-captivating story of Shotgun were included on the Demand to Glow album. Camille Dupree & Broken Fetters have embarked on two tours throughout the southeast United States and have made the rounds to Florida festivals and local Tampa venues bringing their Indie Folk flavor to the likes of Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Ritz, The Orpheum, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Gasparilla Music Festival, Will McLean Festival, String Break, Citrus Festival in Palm Harbor, Southwest Florida Heritage Festival. They have also played for the Cattle-Womans Association, the Shriners, Meals On Wheels, and many other venues, organizations, and businesses. CD&BF also regularly performs on CBS Radio’s 99.5 WQYK with Grammy winning hosts Dave and Veronica and have performed originial music on CBS’s Studio 10 @ 10 on live television 3 different times. They have also played and led worship services at many churches including Palma Ceia UMC, Hyde Park UMC, Palma Ceia Baptist, Bayshore UMC, Redeemer Presbyterian (Riverview), Bethel UMC (Echo, AL), First Baptist Memphis (TN), and many more.
