Paul Gilbert

This was a great show! The venue was wonderful. Great sound quality and there is not a bad seat in the house. Paul and Greg (and their bands) were gracious and both tore the roof off! I you love the electric guitar, there are few better than these guys.

Great show, was expecting a shred fest and got so much more. Lots of great tunes, fantastic band and a ton of fun. You can tell how much fun the band is having playing, and you get everything from zzTop and stairway (because double neck) to the Partridge family theme song. And yes, Paul is still one of the most amazingly fluid and fast players you’ll ever see. Go for the shred, stay for the fun and great music.

Paul Gilbert concert was great... performing to a sold out show... his opening act was Greg Koch, a great rock blues guitarist out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin...who later joined into several songs with Paul as the show progressed It was a guitarist's dream show with the techniques of guitar playing the Paul ( and Greg) teach world wide in full force The opening medley of almost 30 songs that Paul has put out was tremendous... he blends smoothly between rock and speed metal riffs into Classic symphony's and overtures. Paul obviously loves what he does...and his wide range of songs and the overall length of his show was impressive. For me...some of the surprising songs he played were the electric version of Scarified and then an acoustic version of Technical Difficulties from his Racer X days. Plus his Classical riffs were like a concert of its own Paul focused on playing all the songs from his new album WROC..( George Washington's Rules of Civility) where he blends George Washington's literary phrases into his Rock Album lyrics Another highlight was when they performed songs of Thunderbird (ZZTOP ) and Last Child ( Aerosmith) where you essentially had a 3 guitarist lead progression with Greg Koch joining in with Paul Gilbert and Paul's rhythm guitarist Doug Rappoport taking turns performing solos with the songs...Paul is an instructor and you definitely can see how he has helped develop Doug Rappoport in the style of Paul Gilbert's playing A great show indeed The Winery's neighboring property ...that was part of the parking for the Winery... is under re-development / construction at this time... it seriously hurts the parking at the Winery and I had to drive through the construction site to even get to the venue... no complimentary parking is a hassle. But you have to look past that problem when you have such a great performance as Paul Gilbert

Paul is a master of his craft! Amazingly talented and always high energy and fun! I will never pass on a chance to see him. Venue was slightly disappointing as we were all packed in like sardines, hence the reason I could not give a 5 star rating.

Really awesome show, so glad i finally got to see him play. He trully is a master. He is so nice, down to earth, I even got a selfie with him :)

Brother John and I had the best time ! IMO, PG is the greatest of all time, I absolutely Love him and I am blessed by his music, his personality, and what a wonderful human being ! He had a teenage girl get up and play with him,she will remember that for the rest of her life ! It was worth the 8 hour drive for us, and we will gladly do it again ! Nick Bowcott was so fun to visit with, and we love his Sweetwater interviews. At Sweetwater Sound, we were like kids in a Candy store! What an Awesome Facility ! Thank You all and God Bless !!!

Not only was that close to the best guitar playing I've even seen, his band is too notch too... I would loooove to see these guys again soon!

The show was amazing. Paul was amazing. His band was amazing. The opener, Amplified Heat, was amazing. I can finally mark Paul off my bucket list.

Awesome show! Amazing musicianship. Paul is a vituoso's virtuoso and he's funny too! Great blend of humor and face melting. Loved the venue too, very intimate setting and excellent food, service, and drinks.

As always the sound at the venue was good just a bit too loud but I think that is how Paul wanted it. It was almost two hours of show very entertaining and enjoyable

It's Paul "freaking" Gilbert! One of the greatest guitarists of all time and he proved it once again. While I was disappointed I wasn't able to get my Racer X shirt autographed it was still a fantastic show. Paul and his fantastic band tore up the stage with some of the finest playing. They are a must see! Just a great show!

Unreal, finally Paul came to Canada and did not disappoint. He signed so much stuff for me lol A1 show, did the VIP and it was worth every penny!

One of the most enjoyable shows I have ever been to. Paul is an amazing musician. Great stage presence. His band sounded great. I would definitely recommend to anyone

Great masterclass, with PG explaining and demonstrating techniques and blazing through versions of the Rocky theme, Gary Moore's 'Over the Hills and Far Away', Yes' 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' (playing keyboard parts, vocal melody, etc. on the guitar), and Still I'm Sad (Rainbow On Stage version - using slide for Dio's vocal melody and ramping up Blackmore's solos and fills). Inspirational stuff. The caves in an interesting venue. The castle-like vaulted basement of an old Edinburgh tenement is perhaps better suited to regular gigs. The low stage made it difficult for those not in the front rows to see the techniques being demonstrated.
