Firmament ['fər-mə-mənt]
1.the vault of heaven; sky.

A reminder, in these times of looking so frequently downward and inward, into artificial lights and abstractions, to look up and outward at the artifacts of an infinite history, lest we let ourselves dim the sky opaque with halogen, phosphorus and incandescence.

Inspired progressive rock driven by a fascination with the unseen; the shadowy inner-landscape where conscious awareness takes it's reprise from the din of daily activity and into the moon-illuminated nightly odyssey of the dream-time and the demoniac.

Firmament is a band from Canton, Ohio. Formed in 2011, the group has since received international radio airplay, nominations for "Best Up-and-Coming Band" and "Best Vocalist" (NEO Music Awards), and has appeared on several anthology albums. Over the years, the band has performed as an opening act for both nationally and internationally touring acts including:
A Hero A Fake, The Motorleague, Aviations, The Bunny the Bear, Marbin, and others.
In April 2018, Firmament self-released their debut album Spirit of Place with producer Eric Emery.

We believe that music is still a frontier and that art is imperative to humanness.
