One of the best shows i have ever attended. Wonderful venue - with only about 300 to 500 capacity, creating a great, intimate and interactive atmosphere. Great performance from Angie and her band; and Mimi Gilbert opening. Angie should be a superstar - but not sure she would enjoy that.

Angie’s voice was powerful and a high energy show all round. Jess’ guitar playing was great too, especially on I am Already Enough when she played slide.

Have previously seen Angie play small clubs where she is amazing in the intimate setting so it was such a thrill to see her in full Rock’n’roll Queen mode in front of 20,000 people, just take command of the stage. The audience response was loud and enthusiastic.

A voice that heals a thousand wounds. The venue made it feel super intimate, the crowd was amazing and it was not only a gig but a comedy show (extremely witty intervals).

I saw Angela McMahon solo on the first night of her three-night run, and she was everything she would hope she'd be and more - spontaneous, funny and open, a star on the rise, getting the best out of her audience who responded to her warmth with their own. She's kicked on from the performer she was (according to youtube clips) a couple of years ago and comes at you now with a great deal of confidence, swinging into old songs like Keeping Time with great verve and panache and wringing great things out of the songs from her new album, even alone without her band. She's a bit like this generation's Regina Spektor, with an indie vibe that even so harks back to a classic singer-songwriter tradition - but an Australian Regina Spektor who is less art-for-art's sake. As is the way of this generation, Angie McMahon is as interested in the reason why she's doing what she's doing as the thing she's actually doing, as interested in her motivation as she is in the songs. This priority felt like something new, and a very refreshing and heartfelt response to this era's careless nihilism.

Angie was absolutely incredible. Such raw, beautiful talent.
What was NOT incredible was the damn Perth Concert Hall Ushers who spent the entire time plodding up and down the aisle telling people to stop recording on their phones. They were super disruptive, blocked views of those of us who were sat on the outer seats and honestly, just annoying.

Angie’s first Canadian concert, and she seemed genuinely surprised when the audience sang along to the first song. Angie and her band are great at going from very quiet and intimate to all out rocking, within the same song and through the night. A guest appearance by Leif Vollebekk was the topper to a wonderful night at a very small venue.

Angie is extraordinary - she has such an incredible voice and her songs are honest, personal and beautiful. The new songs she showcased are great and show a lot of growth, can’t wait to hear the full album!

A much smaller venue than the night before, and the crowd less vocal but no less adoring. The new songs sound so much more powerful in a live setting than on record, and Angie is very endearing on stage. Shoutout to Le Ren for a great opening set.

A very energetic crowd and a rocking band were there to kick off Angie’s North American tour. Angie can go from very quiet to very loud as good as anyone ever, and that gives her music such an emotional kick.

She’s a superstar. Songs about figuring things out. Music and lyrics flow effortlessly together and her amazing voice is at times thunder and others a soft sliver of sunlight.

Her voice sounds great live. It’s so good, this guy 3 feet in front of me wouldn’t stop shouting “you sound SO good” over and over again.
