About Celia Chavez Music
The tiny but mighty Celia Chavez has spent the past several years traveling the world as a 20-Feet-From-Stardom style backup singer to stars such as P!nk, Brandon Flowers, Melody Gardot, and Julia Fordham. She is currently a featured vocalist and duet partner in the touring band for international superstar Enrique Iglesias.
Celia’s own songs retain the flavor of 1970's Laurel Canyon: wistful lyricism tempered by a unique clarity of vocal delivery. She has an almost playful ability to move between several musical genres at once, from the sweet intimacy of a torch song to the rueful optimism of jazz and old time Americana, to sunny Californian acoustic rock and back again.
She is currently completing not one but two new releases for 2017, and her first solo record, Sailor's Daughter, and the followup 5-song EP, White Flag Blue Sky are available at www.celiachavez.com
