The band ' WALKING TALL' is a Rock’, Classic Rock with a touch of New Country - AOR/Crossover act encompassing a hybrid of styles that contribute to their own fresh sound, including elements of Classic Rock/New Country/Southern Rock/Adult Contemporary and Pop. The band plays original material and has a Songs first policy - writing about relatable and common themes in life, that are both memorable and melodic. The material is presented in concert in an entertaining and engaged way, making them the band to see in live entertainment. Bret and Jimmy are influenced by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Journey, The Eagles, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flats, Lone Star, Jason Aldean Combining all of their collective past professional experience, the vast song catalogs of both Jimmy and Bret, co-Lead Vocal duties, as well as three & four part Harmony Vocals and top notch live shows - 'Walking Tall' will be a force to be reckoned with well into the distant future. The band is already hard at work writing for the follow up to the recently released (April 2014) 'Walking Tall - Vol. 1' album (Produced by Tesla's Frank Hannon and Brian Wheat). and the forthcoming (Oct. 2014) 'Volume 2' album (Produced by Bret Santti). Two non album singles have also been released "Blink Of An Eye" (Jimmy Vegas - Lead Vocal) and "When You Need A Friend" (Bret Santti - Lead Vocal).They will be touring extensively in support of the albums - with tour dates forthcoming. Having built a loyal following of fans locally through its recordings, live shows, social media and good old fashioned word of mouth - the band is fast reaching even more music lovers and growing in popularity nationally. Forging their own path, writing their own rules and Walking Tall . . . Walking Tall Band Members: Jimmy “Vegas” Tuttle: Lead and Harmony Vocals / Guitars. Jimmy is the heart and soul of 'Walking Tall' - Singer, guitarist and consummate entertainer. A very prolific songwriter whose auto-biographic writing style started it all off, penning the vast majority of the band’s first album entitled - Vol.1. In the past, Jimmy has played with touring and recording artist' 'Vamp Le Stat’, ‘Planet Zero' and has played the Northern California club scene in various other well-known rock & top 40 bands. Jimmy has recorded for Retrospect Records, Kivel Records, Columbia Records, and J Street Records and has toured extensively. Bret Santti: Lead and Harmony Vocals / Guitars / Piano Guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and entertainer – Bret is recognized for his charismatic stage presence. Like Jimmy, Bret is an extremely prolific writer and penned the majority of 'Volume 2'. Previous popular Northern California area bands include; ‘Black -N- white’, ‘Tux’, ‘Strutter’, ‘Mad Emotion’, and ‘Santti’. He has toured, produced and recorded 8 albums and countless demos for Sacred Fire Records, Malibu Canyon Records, SVS, Ever After, Kamco and Columbia. Bret also has experience working on the management side of the business. He has worked with legendary A&R man Don Grierson and has written songs with hit songwriter Andre Pessis, to name a few.
