About The Focke-Wolves
Who the hell are The Focke Wolves?! Well, allow us to explain…
Forming in 2011, this Southern California high-energy, Punk, damaged rock n' roll band has a line up that consists of Bobby Ray Octane (Vox), Mickey McFaster (Guitar), Sticks. (Guitar), Eli Miller (Bass), and Toni C. (Drums).
"With the Focke Wolves it's best to take cover and admire from afar as these guys move around, taking up every square inch of space on and off the stage.” – Donna Balancia, CaliforniaRocker.com
Over the years the members have collectively shared the stage with Danko Jones, The Damned, The Stray Cats, The Joneses, The Beat Farmers, Cadillac Tramps, Alien Ant Farm, The Blasters, Concrete Blonde, Chris Isaak, Supersuckers, Link Wray, Bow Wow Wow, Rick Agnew, TSOL (Joe Woods era) among others....… But at the end of the day, to rest on nostalgia is lamentable. To charge forward with a no holds barred attitude is to be applauded. There are those who think that rock is dead, and those that know it isn't, but ultimately, if it ain't moving forward then you kick it the fuck outta the way.
"The Focke-Wolves blasted belligerently onto the Southern Californian scene in 2011, and have forged a large and loyal following amongst fellow “punk damaged’ reprobates. Here’s why: barbed wire riffs, power-melodies and ADHD-frantic solos permeate their hard rockin’ fury relentlessly, singer Bobby Ray Octane lending these four turbo charged tracks a Danko Jones vibe as guitarists shred like motherfuckers and the Rhythm section never let up for a moment, either, making this teaser for album #2 a blast from start to finish – a Blasto Maxxxo, to be exact." - Shane Pinnegar, 100percentrock.com (Australia)
In 2015, The Focke Wolves released their freshman scratch-track album, ‘Trust No One’ through Ned O’ Records. In 2017, they stepped again into the studio recording their second release (4 song EP El Blasto Maxxxo) with Producer Cameron Webb (last 6 Motorhead Records, Social Distortion, etc....).....they are now currently in pre-production for a new single again with Cameron Webb at the helm, with a mid summer release date.
"Four powerfully staged songs by MOTÖRHEAD producer Cameron Webb has the quintet founded in 2011 in Southern California on its second release to date. The opener "El blasto maxxo" has pounding guitars, stadium backing vocals and a slightly exaggerated vocals. "Undone" is a straight rocker with a slide guitar and a vocals reminiscent of late THE DAMNED or even VOLBEAT. "Messed up pretty" has a certain closeness to the BACKYARD BABIES because of the different, higher and rougher vocals and guitar work, and the last song, "Long way down", is characterized by really good lead guitars. If you have a penchant for adult (punk) rock on the edge of sleaze and hard rock you should definitely like THE FOCKE WOLVES."
- Guntram Pintgen, www.ox-fanzine.de (Germany)
McFaster claims, “This is finally the high-energy rock n’ roll band Ray and I set out to have since our Diablo 44 days and with the current line-up, shit is gonna go bang.”
That amigos, is The Focke Wolves Gospel. High Energy, Punk Damaged, Rock N' Roll - dig it or don't and cheers to ya either way!!!
