About Jared Saltiel
JARED SALTIEL is a singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and theatrical composer based in Brooklyn, NY. As lead singer and songwriter of pop/rock band The Dirty Birds, he released his debut album How the Cause Became the Cure in 2009. An accomplished solo artist, he has gone on to release two more full-length albums, 2013’s The Light Within, and 2018’s Out of Clay, installments in an interconnected series of “magical realist” and mythological story-songs. As a producer and arranger, he has collaborated with Bell the Band, Charlene Kaye, Maryanna Sokol, Cassidy Andrews, and many others. And as the co-creator of satirical slasher-comedy musical South by South Death, and the composer of Amina Henry’s original play Hunter John & Jane, his theatrical work has been covered in the New York Times, The Village Voice, and TimeOut. On November 16, 2018, Saltiel released One More Revelation, a new EP combining classic folk-rock aesthetics with a contemporary lyrical wit.
