About Indigo Sky
Indigo Sky is a high-energy rock band comprised of Michael Lanza (lead guitar), Richmond Coombs (bass guitar), AJ DeMillio (vocals and rhythm guitar), and Luke Reeves (drums). This dynamic four-piece blends late 1960s psychedelia and blues to create a sound that is both timeless and innovative. The bandmates discovered their shared musical vision during a practice session at a local rehearsal space, and their chemistry was undeniable from the start. They all started playing at a young age and knew they had something special they wanted to pursue.
In November of 2022, Indigo Sky released their first EP, “Moonrise From Saturn”. The EP is a testament to the band’s artistic vision and their commitment to creating music that is both emotionally resonant and sonically adventurous, drawing influence from 60s and 70s psychedelic rock with a more modern take. Indigo Sky has crafted a collection of songs that are sure to captivate and inspire.
2023 has been a breakout year for Indigo Sky, marking a significant milestone in their career as they gained recognition locally on the up-and-coming young music scene, playing bigger local venues such as The Stone Pony and House of Independents. In a defining moment, Indigo Sky was featured on the esteemed New Jersey radio station 95.9 The WRAT, reaching a wider audience and gaining the attention of many listeners. This year Indigo Sky played their first out-of-state gigs in New York City at Rockwood Music Hall and The Bowery Electric. However, the band isn’t content to stop there. They have their sights set on reaching more and more out-of-state venues, eventually taking their music to audiences all across the country.
With each new opportunity, Indigo Sky continues to raise the bar, cementing its status as one of the most promising young acts on the scene. They continue to write and record new music, pushing their sound in exciting new directions while staying true to their roots. As the year draws to a close, Indigo Sky will reflect on the past year, with excitement for what lies ahead. With their eyes firmly set on the future, there’s no doubt that Indigo Sky will continue to reach new heights and inspire new audiences with their unique sound and vision.
