About J. Jewels

Jimmy C Jules, also known by his stage names Jim Jewels or J. Jewels, is a Haitian Born, Boston, Massachusetts-based Actor, Urban artist, songwriter and music producer.
Early life
Jewels was born in Port-Au- Prince, Haiti. His family migrated to the US in the late 1980’s, although they were unable to obtain a visa for their child, they left young Jewels behind. He lived with his paternal grandmother for almost a year and half while his parents were awaiting the final approval of his visa.
During his Senior year of High School, Jewels started a small music production company making beats and recording local Boston talent. By the late 1990’s he met an up and coming rapper by the name of Rick Hill, an artist that Jewels started producing exclusively.
While working on the R.I.C. LP with Rick Hill, Jewels‘ brother, Jerry, introduced him to a young up and coming reggae artist named Mighty Mystic. They recorded the single entitled “New World Order” and continued their professional relationship by working on several additional projects even to this day.
In 2006, Jewels launched the JEI Company, expanding its role in regional music with a new label in 2015, entitled JEI Music Group.
Career
With a career that began as a disc jockey/videographer/record producer and show M.C. to a full-fledged entrepreneur with unique ideas for marketing and promotion, Jewels has emerged as an artist himself with the release in April, 2016 of “Itty Bitty Bum Bum,” the first title from his J Jewels Presents long player.
He began marketing the single from the forthcoming J. Jewels Presents, the first album release on the JEI Music Group label, the brain child of Jewels, the creative mind that has help launched a number of New England area artists over the past decade.
J. Jewels has worked (doing promotions, marketing, production, talent bookings) with Ne-Yo – the Gentleman, Serani, Fat Joe, Mighty Mystic, Verse Simmonds, Mr. Vegas, Maino and many other ground-breaking artists. The album is in the promotional stages, one at a time starting with “Itty Bitty Bum Bum,” singles are making their way to blogs and radio stations worldwide.
Jewels can also be seen on the big screen this summer, in a minor cameo with the director and writers of the blockbuster Central Intelligence, starring Kevin Hart and The Rock.
