Embrace the Distance

Meeting at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Embrace The Distance started as a few friends who had a passion for God and music. Founded by Ryan White, Tyler Hulbert, and Reagan Beard, the three quickly found the other needed roles and added Rusty Pregeant and Matt Boden to the line-up. Each member of the band comes from different areas of musical influence which is what helps give ETD the unique sound that they have; from indie rock, to pop-punk, to post-hardcore, the band has a wide variety of musical backgrounds. They all instantly clicked and went into the music writing process with ease, having six songs complete within their first month of playing together. They began playing shows roughly a month after formation and quickly drew a strong and loyal fan base. In April, 2012, guitarist Rusty Pregeant decided to depart from the band, turning ETD into a four-piece set. After the departure of Pregeant, they began recording their first album over the summer of 2012 entitled "Distractions" which was released on November 16, 2012. Embrace The Distance had a mutual brake up in April of 2013 due to different visions for the band. Each member will still continue to pursue music.
